Tired……..

October 15, 2009

PMR is over, and I decided to take up olahraga in school. It was my cousins’ idea for me to join, so I joined.

First day’s (yesterday) training was quite tough for me. I found out that every one there is ’super’, even at the streching part. They’re so flexible, that most of their heads can touch the ground, with both straight legs opened!!

I was about to post this yesterday, but I was occupied with MegaMall in the afternoon, and at night my mum and brother occupied the computer……

Anyway, today I went olahraga again. Guess who’s with me—-Joey. I didn’t expect him to come so willingly, but after my brother introduced olahraga to him, he is attracted like a metal to a magnet.

Or maybe a guy to a gym.

Literally.

Today’s tougher, and the training got me to quite a max, but I throughly enjoyed it. Well, despite my brother wetting my whole pants when we’re about to leave the school compound, which I have to wet Aunty Tammy’s car passenger seat. Sorry Aunty.

Well, that’s all. Do leave a comment.

Maths Teacher

July 8, 2009

I’m not going to say who, but I want to say about her.

She’s new to our class. She says the last maths teacher’s teaching is slower than other classes. The fact is quite true.

But then, just the first day of teaching, she gave us work. The next day, some boys in our class didn’t do. And what she did? She made them stand, wasting our one-period time going to each and every boy, asking them the reason why they didn’t do their work, and made them move to the front of the class, then the back of the class. In the end of the period, she just gave us homework.

Wasting time while saying we’re ‘too slow’. What else, she made us write unnecessary notes, as though we are just Form 1. By this, we waste most of the time.

Another thing I found out is, she didn’t teach us everything. In the chapter of Enlargement, she never told us about negative scale factors, which is very important.

Our class now is currently in Chapter 12 - Linear Inequalities, whereas some classes are in Chapter 15 - Trigonometry. The Pre-Trials are next week.

I hope somehow she will change.

MAY-JUNE HOLIDAYS!!!

June 4, 2009

THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE

But it doesn’t mean anything big. As usual, I’m just updating my a-few-months-untouched blog.

First things first, in school, I’m already comfirmed as a prefect. Yahoo to that. There was taylors who came and measured us for uniforms. I just can’t wait for them to come in early  July.

Hari Guru…plain boring as it is like every year. But this time the teachers sit in the wrong spot! DATARAN ILMU! I think its somebody’s idea to avoid teachers from getting sunburned…hahaha…. But anyway, if you did not go for the Hari Guru, you would probably missed Puan Noriah’s singing. She has the most “wonderful” voice. Anyhow students still cheer for her as she sang.

I recently had a trip to Lang Tengah island, Terengganu. Its a small island situated between Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian. I went there with my family, my uncle’s family, and a whole gang of swimming friends. The activities are basically snorkeling and snorkeling and snorkeling, but the view is not as beautiful as the view in Pulau Redang. Its an awesome vacation throughout and I really enjoy it.

Right now at home, I’m feeling a little sick. I had bad headaches yesterday. And the cause….a little seasick and lack of rest. But for now, I’m getting better. You know parents always said we should get into bed early, well, ITS FOR OUR OWN GOOD!!!

And for the following week, I have to sit for a Fundamental 5 exam. For you who don’t know what’s that, its a Yamaha music examination that is recognised by the world. Anyhow, I hope for the best, and you guys please pray for me.

That’s all.

March Test Finally Ended….

March 5, 2009

HOORAY! All those burden the last week is finally gone! I’d not touch my blog since New Year, and I wondering how fast things could go past me. Now, I know everybody just love the feeling after exams. Even myself.

Let’s see, in the past month there was this MSSS for swimming. Sadly, I didn’t get any prizes…….I’m the only morning session swimmer who didn’t get a medal, for how much effort I’ve put  D: . There were swimmers who swam slow, yet had a medal. I’m just so jealous!!

What else…about the March Test, it’s overally okay. It’s just that this time’s exam ain’t as challenging as before. And about tomorrow’s re-sitting for BM, its canceled, so bring your books as usual to school!

Oh yeah, before I forget, I am now finally a ‘pengawas pelatih’!! (for some other schools they call ‘pengawas percubaan’ or ‘under trained’) I thank God for this treasure he gave me, but I’ll still have to undergo a few months of training before I’m officially a prefect. Hope that there won’t be anything that will stop me from it.

That’s all .

Something to Say After CNY

January 31, 2009

Even though I’m feeling boring, but I just want to update a little on my blog.

I just came back from my parents hometown. I counted my ang pow money and I got RM225. Anyhow ang pows don’t really matter to me. In this return to my parents’ hometown, I get to see a lot of my long unseen cousins and uncles, which is great.

After we came back to Subang Jaya, things get worse. Our house’s auto-gate broke down by somewhat reason. My fridge went ‘Oh My God!’, because of an electrical surge, and the smell is …………..undescribable.

And now, I have to rush-rush my Panas Salju project and some homeworks. I hereby hope all of you viewers a safe trip home and good luck on tidying your home!! And for those who didn’t balik kampung, just hope you can cope with your homeworks and duties.

New Year’s Thoughts

January 1, 2009

Throughout this year, I think I should recall a little from 2008, and also think about 2009.

About 2008, I think its much better than other years I’ve experience. First, I got a jawatan at school (AJK Pengurusan Kelas). I got the more certificates in this school than last year. Secondly, I’ve achieved Distinction for ABRSM Piano Practical Gd 6 and Merit for Theory (this year’s results are better than before). And I’d read Alex Rider series, all 7 books! I’ve never read a whole series of books in a year. And not to least, I started this blog, which is my first public blog.

Well, that was kinda lot of things I’ve achieved 2008 (well I know I have more to say), but I wish 2009 won’t get worse!

I have some goals in 09:

  1. Get GREAT results on PMR.
  2. Pass on Yamaha Fundamental 5 Exam.
  3. Get NILAM certs.
  4. Have more friends than ever!
  5. To get to know more about GOD.
  6. To dig out more of my skills and abilities for use.

That’s just the general.

I think, there shouldn’t be much of celebration during 0000/1/2009. I think all those firecrakers and countdowns are worthless. New Year is just a time interval bar, and we all are getting through it. What makes it so special, is of reminding people of what they’ve achieved the past year, and to set new targets for the future.

And there’s nothing much to celebrate about, that’s why I’m going through New Year at home this year.

Bill Gates’ Speech

November 27, 2008

This is from one of the e-mails I received.

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2 : The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school.. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

If you agree, pass it on.
If you can read this - Thank a teacher!
